Before PASS Scouting
Karpaty were in the Ukrainian second division. After the start of our cooperation, the club earned promotion to the top division. They were ready to sign several foreign players to strengthen the squad, including one for the central midfield position.
Task from the client
The club needed an all-rounded central midfielder to carry the ball forward and provide creativity in playmaking, with good technique and also a final product. They wanted a skilled player of higher caliber to raise the overall level of the team.
PASS Scouting contribution
Bruninho was known in PASS database for over four years, valued as a top attacking midfielder. Despite an offer from the Portuguese club, PASS Scouting's strong ties with player' agent and Atletico Mineiro secured his loan to Karpaty in summer 2024 at zero entry cost.
Result
In his first season outside Brazil, Bruninho showed professionalism, made 11 goal contributions, became a key midfield leader, and was named in the Ukrainian Premier League's best eleven. After his successful loan, Karpaty activated the purchase option.
